Are my mushrooms finally spreading?

The bottom circle looks like it has moved and left a few pieces along the way.
The top circle looks like 2 new mushrooms ready to open

This is the most common way for mushrooms to spread, right? As opposed to division

Now I'm waiting on my Zoo's - which i've had longer. what should i do to encourage them

lol looks like it.

you can't really hurry growth.. just patience. once your tank is well established, everything balanced, you'll notice extremely fast growth in everything...

leave them alone, don't stick your hands in the water too much, go on a vacation or something... lol

actually with mushrooms, you can cut the heads off (w/ a scissors or something) and the base will grow a new mushroom.

Don't worry...

...in no time at all you'll be cursing the day you put a single mushroom in your tank, as you're yanking 'em out by the hundreds! :wink:

I've found the best growth mechanism for mushroom is beer. On the rare occasions when I over-indulge, I get irritated at all the mushrooms in my tank. Then I take a knife and try to carve them out of the rocks. In a week, I have about 20% more mushrooms. :evil:
