Aerating bio ball and/or fuge

so in my sump the overflow enters chamber 1 (filter sock for feeding and water changes) also a HOB skimmer. Water then flows to chamber 2 filled with marine pure spheres then over under to refugium then over under over to return.so my question stems from other things I have read and seen. Would there be added benefit to adding an air stone under my marine pure spheres - would this help with 1- bacteria growth due to high oxigenation 2- adgitation to help with detritus build up. Based off wet/dry idea of bacteria growth on bioballs.AND/ORaddimg an air stone to my refugium to help promote algae growth through high oxigenation. Based off algae scrubbers that incorporate aeration.Could be an interesting experiment I guess to track my levels and agae growth before and after adding aeration. Thanks in advance for your thoughts and comments.

I am sure it would, would be interesting to know. The logic sounds like it would be beneficial. Hopefully someone can fill us in! :)
