I didn't take enough pics of the beginning stages but here's what I have anyway. I am building this stand because I recently replaced the carpet in our front living room where the tank was setup with laminate "wood" flooring. The tank has been down for over a year and was setup as a fresh water tank. The stand I had before was a basic wrought iron stand. I felt the stand would be to harsh for the laminate floor so I decided to build a new stand that distributes the weight more evenly, I think.
It has as 2 x 4 frame and the out side is finished with prefabbed paneling then I cut the molding and trim for the rest, and painting it a satin black. Pretty basic but will look nice and won't be as harsh on the new floor, I hope.
