Im wanting to explore chalices, like the bubblegum monster and this orange and green one i love. Maybe even get a skimmer and overflow box to fit in the back like Debie. Execept someone will have to show me how to use one :? . More updates and pics to come............... :D

[[step one - sell off my softies]]
Devils hand
Golden finger leather (its realy purple)
Pom-Pom zenia
Purlpe and Green Mushrooms and sponges (alot of theese)

After seeing your Aquapod 24, I've almost saved up enough money to buy one myself  .

What are your thoughts though on using a Hydor Flow Reflector for the output flow from the pump in the Aquapod 24?

FLow Reflector: http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_AquariumPage~PageAlias~wavemakers_filters_hydor_bioflo_bio_flo_aerobic.html

i just got one for my sister..
i can't really say that the hydorflo reflector increases flow... may be a little, but it seems like sometimes the snail gets stuck in there and it stops rotating...

does anybody have a diagram of how the water is suppose to flow to the back compartment? or a picture (top down) of how it's suppose to set up? I think her's is missing a sponge or something keeping the water level the same in all 3 compartments

Looking at it from the front. The sponge should be in the far left chamber and the return pump in the far right.

this is the only fuge i can find, they dont have any picks but I realy like the stand

On mine the intake is on the right side and that's where the sponge should be, but I don't use it. And the pump should be in the left compartment pulling the water through. I tried a Hydor, but it does need a more powerful pump in order to get it to move water. And small snails can get in there and stop it from turning. I have an AquaFuge on the back so I put an acrylic divider in the middle to reroute the water from the tank on the right through the fuge and then into the left compartment where a large pump directs water back to the main tank. The water level always remains the same in all the compartments, unlike the Nano Cube where the water level can drop in the back.

i think this is the skimmer i want

it was made to fit perfectly in the chamber with the original lid closed.

Looks like a good skimmer, but if price is any reflection of quality, then you might want to research reviews on it. I've been afraid to buy a skimmer fit for a nano tank because I haven't heard anything good so far.

ive researching like crazy and found alot of good reviews

here is a pic of what im working for......

Nice. So what are you planning on doing as far as rock work this time? I really liked your last setup. Hard to find interesting setups in the nano tanks.

Well right now im still planning, everything is so pricey. Im comtemplating cutting out my false wall, and making my own fuge. The hang on fuges are expensive plus the skimmer. check this out.

Thinking about doing a custom fuge like this.....
And with removing the false wall i will have like almost 5 extra inches back, for the extra rock work. And planning to keep mainly montipora and chalices. Hopefuly within a year my collection will began to cover the rock. Im still on the lookout for My SUNPOD<<< Very expensive equipment.

if your going to take out the back wall you might be better off selling the tank and starting another tank. A lot of people like that all in one setup and will pay good money for it. You can pick up 30-40 gallon tanks for cheap! I only paid $79 for my 40 breeder. I kinda like the 20 gallon longs for nano tanks. And Im pretty sure they are only about $30. And a 10 gallon would be perfect for a sump and they are about $11 at petco.

Did you ever contact this seller on cl for the 20" sunpod?

just got a
175W MH fixture with moonlights and pc actinics.
Bummer is that i will have to hang it from the ceiling but i got a great deal on it.

I sort of tend to agree. If you're going to make all those modifications to the tank then you might be better off getting a standard glass aquarium and doing whatever you want. If I had a chance to go back and do it again I know now I would not get an all in one tank because I like having a refugium, and a skimmer. And if you ever need to sell the tank (becuase you want a bigger one :) ) it'll probalby be easier to sell without the mods. Just a thought.
