New Vertex Omega Skimmer added

First impression of the skimmer looking at the box that it came in, very nice and well packed. After opening it up it feels a lot better built than previous skimmers Ive owned.

I hooked up skimmer and let it run for 24 hours wide open and had to let the skimmer over flow and empty back into the tank. This was my own fault as I treated the tank for a week with no skimmer carbon or gfo. I was treating for cyano as well as used some 2 part epoxy to mount a frag. Both of these factors caused the skimmer to go crazy.

After 24 hours I did a 15% water change and within 1 hour my skimmer was working correctly, and now 5 hours after water change Im getting great foam. I think I may buy a skimmer neck cleaner for this. Bad thing is I sold one I won in a raffle but did not fit with my old skimmer. This skimmer is very quiet, now the only noise my tank makes is from the waves in the tank and the down spout of water into my sump. Before with other skimmers they would vibrate on the bottom. This one has rubber feet everywhere, even on the bottom of the body of the skimmer.

I would recommend this skimmer to everyone.
