My tank just finished cycling and amazingly has good numbers. I'd like to believe it is well designed and maintained but it's probably the accelerator I used and the tank was never completely down...A mushroom and a zoo use the same nutrients bad algae does. Some people suggest the more common mushrooms and zoos can handle this part of the tank cycle and even reduce algae... I'd like to try a few simple, hardy, common ones - maybe someone needs to thin a colony - WTB.
