Tang in 40 gal Cube

I’m a little new to salt water and I am wondering if I can put a tang in my 40. If I can put a tang which one is preferred? Part of the reason I want one is to help with green algae control. Also let me know if I should get a different fish for algae control.
 
I honestly believe 40g is to small for a tang of any sort. You can try urchins and snails/hermit crabs. Maybe a blenny if you have an abundance of algae otherwise you'll have to feed them Nori.

A tang would outgrow that size tank in less than a couple years. Hth
