Ricordea mushroom - Ever split?

[Have one blue Ricordea mushroom which I have had over 6 months now and is 4" wide. Does this variety (picture link) ever split or produce addition mushrooms on its own in a reef tank? How long does it take? Because so pretty (and only have one), do not want to slice up like my other varieties of Rics.

Looks like this one

Thanks]

[Sure they will but it can take anywhere from weeks to months! Depends on your tank, if you feed it, etc, etc.

Also some just propegate faster then others. I have some simular and I would say I get a new one every 3 months or so. Pretty slow!]

[I take it that isn't yours? ;) It appears to be forming a baby now.

Actually, I have 3 of them now, and they are slow growers. If you feed them, they'll propagate more quickly.]

[Mine grow very slow as well, about one every couple of months. But, I recently cut one off of a rock to give to a friend of mine. There are now 4 growing off of the small remains where the ric was attached. Maybe you could try cutting it off the rock and moving it somewhere else, in a little time you should have a few more spark up.

Just an idea!]
