Recommend a Starfish?

I would use this link as a reference, there are several non reef safe starfish available. I also would not recommend any type of sand sifting starfish as they will quickly deplete the beneficial fauna from your sandbed, as alway's YMMV. http://www.aquacon.com/starfish.html

Cheers,

I have 4 red brittle stars, 1 giant albino brittle star and a sand sifting star all in my sandless bottom. The sandsifter is almost 10 years old now.

Sent from inside the shark tank!

Look at this ... http://www.liveaquaria.com/diversden/ItemDisplay.cfm?c=2733+4&ddid=196136 ... AMAZING!

Nevermind ... 32 INCHES (???) ... In case I cannot delete this post!

I really like serpent stars. My last one had banded legs. I called him jack (as in Jack Skellington). I would feed him once or twice a week (or when kids would come to the house because it was so cool). I'd stick a small piece of silverside on a bamboo skewer and put it near his cave. In a few seconds he'd come rambling out and wrap up the fish. Then, as he consumed it, his body would stretch to fit around the piece of fish! It is cool to watch them work the tank at night, too.

I picked up a sand sifter and I am liking him ... He has plenty of sand bed to move around In
Last go around I had a orange Serpant and I liked looking for him at night ..
Also had a basket Star which was Auesome to watch ..

The wrassie I have limits what stars I can get now .. But when he is gone I'm going to stock up on stars ..

The only advice I can give is to buy one and see how the fish react before you do what I did and buy like 5 only to catch the wrassie eating it ...
