Montipora hispida broke!

[I've got no idea why, but the top branch (1/2" worth) was broken off and lying on the substrate next to the rest of my tiny 2" frag.

Any idea what might have broken it? I can't think of anything, and I don't believe I hit it with my magnet. I simply don't know how brittle this species of coral is. :so sad:]
 
[Montipora are VERY fragile.. But on the other hand they grow like weeds.

Just secure the little piece in a crack on your rock, in about a month youll have a small starter colony. In my tank, I have 1 Montipora Colony, but I have all these little patches everywhere where errant tissue must have landed, SO I have 1 pig Purple Digitata, 1 little purple patch, and a red?! one...

Wierd but fun]
