Is this okay?

I am not sure how to hold down a peice of toadstool leather that I got today so I am using a rubber bacnd to hold it to the rock

Will this work or should I just glue it down?

LOL - Boy, that piece suddenly looks TINY! I know it's at least an inch square, but that was just too funny!

Actually, try the glue, because the frags that I used a band on simply split themselves. I wouldn't glue a whole lot - not even a whole side - but just enough to hold it to the rock. Use GEL glue

When I pulled the rubber band off there was a dent in the surface already. It was not even that tight as it was sitting in an low section of the rock. I guess it was to tight. It is glued for now hopefully it will stay put. Only time will tell

I've used rubber bands several times, and other times just wedged it in a crevice of the rockwork. Leathers don't take long to hold on. Within 48 hours, it should begin to be secure.
