Yes, I primed with KIlz 2 coats.

Used a product called cabinet restorations by rustoleum. They have a wide range of colors to pick from and blend any type of wood mediums you might use.

It is a 4 stage process, Degloss, 2 bond coats, an optional glaze coat, and a protective top coat.
