OK, this question may expose my newness to the hobby, but can zoas (and/or palys) move from their current location? One of the first corals I bought was a plug with two really tiny Purple Death polyps on it. It grew a 3rd polyp at some point, and then a 4th, but the 4th polyp never really grew and eventually died off.
Since then, the plug was moved and my lighting was switched to LED (and then turned WAY down when stuff started reacting poorly to too much light), and now the 3 remaining polyps seem to be doing great. They've gotten a lot bigger and stay open most of the time. However, what I've noticed, is that they seem to be moving off the frag plug. Is that possible? Can they "walk" the way an anemone can (albeit much more slowly)?
Here's a picture showing what I'm talking about. I swear the first two of these started in the center of the frag plug. The RDE on the right of it seem to be doing the same thing. I'm wondering if there's still too much light (they're on the top of a rock a little over half way up in the tank)?

I guess the good news is that I can pull off that frag plug pretty soon. [smilie=smile.gif]
