Zoas not doing to good.

Most of my zoas aren't opening up very good anymore. Amm, Nitrite and nitrate are all 0. Cal, Alk and Mag are all high. They have always been high no matter what. SG is 1.025. I was using instant ocean salt but am switching to reef crystals. Local fish store told me instant ocean wouldn't cut it. So far I've only changed 4 gallons in my 40 breeder and will do another 4 gallon WC today. He also said I need to be dosing. Why would I dose if the big three are all high ?

What are your cal, alk, mag numbers? How often are you doing water changes?

Increase flow on them, they might have a fungus around the base of them. They will close up for a day or two when you do that, but they will re-open.
