zoa colonies not opening all the way

I've read on zoaid about the cure for zoa pox. does anyone know where i can buy furan 2. I did a water change saturday and sunday my colonies had alot of white spots on half of the polyps. Some have opened back up, but the others havent. This is the second time i've had something like this happen to one me. Currently i have 3 colonies that are affected. All of my other colonies are doing good. Should i wait or should i act now before it's too late and the whole colonies die.
Every time things are going good with my tank something always goes wrong.FRUSTRATING   .

Hi,
Are these solid white spots or little white circular rings, if they are rings then it could be nudibranch egg's. You should check closely for these as they are zoa predator's and if you see any, would be the reason your's are closed. Dipping will kill any live one's but will not destroy the egg's(which hatch every 7-10 day's I believe). hth

Cheers,

They are little white dots. Theyve came out last year on another colony of zoa colonies that I lost. I need to try and get rid of them because I dont want to loose more zoanthids.

Thanks for the advise,

I found out about using the furan 2 on that site. That's where I got the info from. I went to dna and bought some and I'm going to start the process tonight. Webster said that the furan method is a really good way to do it too. hopefully this will fix the problem and i can prevent future outbreaks.

Zoa pox have little white dots all over the polyp stems. They make the colonies close up and eventually they die. I've had this same problem last year and lost at least three good colonies of polyps. I tried some of the other methods and was able to salvage some polyps that recovered. Now one of those colonies are infected again. Since reading the article on zoaid.com, I figured what do I have to lose by trying this method that others have success with.
My problem is that I always end up doing something wrong like I did last night when I accidentally turned my heater up too high in the tank that I using for the treatment. Hopefully I wont lose this colonies that i'm treating  .
Treating anything from can be frustrating for me because I know that their is a high risk of me losing whatever it is :x .

its odd how zoo pox shows up each year as winter comes and then spring
i have fought it with furan but honestly with little luck
saw a guy somewhere saying leave them in your main tank but isolate the infected rocks and put heavy current on them
his pics where about as good as the furran2 pics ive seen
also furan 2 is now a little different its in packages not pills and it contains no methol blue .. its all yellow now
good luck
i would love to see some pics before and after
