Hyposalinity treatment worked for me when I had a fish that had ick. Had to move all the fish over to make sure it died off in the tank before moving them back. It was a pain maintaining the water quality in a bare bottom tank with no bio filtration but it could have been worse. The tank was/is a wew setup for my dad so I only had to remove a total of 2 fish to get them all out and could take my rock out.
After that experience, I have a hospital/QT setup ready to go at a moment's notice and will NEVER add another fish to a main tank(s) without a QT period first. I can only imagine how much of a pain it would be to try to remove all the fish from an established tank on top of going through the hyposalinity treatment.
