Yellow Tang Eye Bulging

Can someone please help!!! I was about to go to bed and I saw my tang slapping the rocks with his tail then I got a closer look at him and noticed his left eye was bulging. I know it wasn't like that when I got home from work.

You tang has pop eye. Here is a link for some info. This is valid for saltwater also.

Not sure if it covers it in the linked article but adding epsom salt to the water will help reduce the pressure. Keep in mind that epsom salt will increase salinity and magnesium/sulfate.

I had an anthias suffer pop-eye for over a month. It probably scratched its eye against some rock. It took a long time to heal, but it is completely healthy again.

There was little chance I could catch it out of 400g reef, so I let it be. The water quality in my reef would be better than in a QT.
 
Ok so his eye won't fall out or anything? Just making sure he's not killing over. He seems fine, just with a bulging eye.

Pop-eye can go two ways. It can heal or it can get worse. The worst case scenario is loss of the eye.
 
Are the little white spots about the size of grains of salt and can you post pics of the spots as it could be ich. You might want to do a search online for pictures of Marine Ich or cryptocaryon irritans to see if looks like what your tang has.
 
Yeah and I notice my green chromis swims with him and looks like he's trying to clean him.

Yeah the chromis are fine but someone told me that it could be all the rock I added that stressed the fish out. I noticed he swims to the emerald crabs and the chromis sideways and floats by them almost like he wants them to clean what's on him off. I might go get some cleaning shrimp?

From what I read, the cleaning shrimp will not get the ones in the gills and inside the fish. If the parasite has dropped from the fish, then your entire tank is suspect unless you find a way to eradicate it by treatment or by removing all the fish until the life cycle of the parasite completely runs. It is a complete pain that I have had to deal with before more in the freshwater world and, fortunately, I found one SW fish I have that has it before it made it into the main tank.
