xenia missing after first night

Got some xenia from a friend and it was all gone except for one head this morning. My hermits tugged a little at the kenya tree so i think it might have eaten it or pulled it up. Will the one head grow to produce more xenia, and how long before i see some growth. I know it has to do with tank parameters, but just looking for generalized answers. I have them under 2 250 metal halides. Thanks
 
Yes it will grow and grow pretty fast. The rest might be hidden in your tank. Keep an eye on the tank may see it popping up somewhere. Mine did that once now its popped up in like 4 spots in my tank. Dont think crabs eat it but who knows.
 
Good luck and watch out that stuff will take over if you let it. It grows towards light so I put mine next to the back wall and allow it to grow up the glass and not all over the rock.
 
Got it on a rock inwant it to fill. Prolly going with the gsp on the back wall. Kinda like that look on other peoples tanks.
