Wrasse ANYONE ??

I am NOT real familiar with THIS fish but saw a beautiful Green Wrasse (lime green actuall) about 5" long at Plano Pets. How do these fish do with corals and Tangs? I have a large, beautiful, 250 gallon tank with several types of Tangs in it...a couple of clowns....a Flame Angel (no, it's bothering the corals either) but was thinking about putting this gorgeous fish in there too.........BUT...

I am NOT familiar with it. Is it a bad idea? Could I run into problems? Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated BEFORE I think about buying this type of fish.

Sorry I can't remember the type....thanks.

There are so many wrasses out there, its important to know the species. At that size and color it could either be a Coris or Green Leaf Wrasse (best guess). Both will nip, pick or outright eat ornamental shrimp at that size. THe coris is safer if its grown up in the tank with them, but if they are wild caught that size, i wouldn't risk it in a tank with shrimps.

As far as compatibility, I think you are fine in either case.

It comes down to the invert compatibility :) In a larger tank like yours, it may not be an issue due to space and I would try it if I really liked the wrasse.
