I purchased corals from a member and found some worms inside the live rock. (see photo) Is it the Bristle worm ? Should I kill them ?
Any easy way to get rid of them?

Just turn off the light at night. Use a flashlight And tweezer to pull them out. Or stop over feeding so they can die and stop them them from multiple.

Yeah I agree With Etphi I have these in my tank also and try are pretty harmless and great scavengers eating detritus waste in the tank.

some krill in a small foot stocking will help trap some of them at night, they are beneficial but can get to be over populated without predation. my main tank they are kept under control by the wrasse but my pico needs regular culling.

I've got them in a couple of my tanks. My kids love to see them come out and play. I have a couple picos with them and no predators, gets pretty wild in there at times. I just pluck out a few every month either with tongs or a turkey baster to keep them in check. And don't take them out by hand, pictures online don't look pretty.

six lines will normally only go after the small ones. melanarus wrasses are great for flat worms, but ive never seen em go after bristleworms.

lol, I let them go wild in my Refugium when I turn the light on I see like 10-15 of them all together then they run for cover :) in my display tank I have 2 CBS that keep worms under control. I can't keep any of the fish type as they all die (think its the dottyback killing them, but I love him so he's staying [smilie=wink.gif] )

I added an arrow crab to keep them in check in my big tank. It was SO much fun watching him catch and eat them!
