caught this happening as i did a lights on check 12:30 am. writhing mass about 2" tall and wide as spaggetti. when pic was taken it receeded about an inch sorry for pic quality.
Sounds like a very large spaghetti worm. If you look closely around your rocks during the lights on period, you may see the little red hairs stretching out and pulling stuff back to the worm. Really good worms to have.
