Thanks Matt, I'm looking forward to learning how to integrate it into the system. I'm going with an DAS EX-1 skimmer (outside the sump), and plan on driving it with a mag7, and a mag5 as the return on my 90RR. Hopefully this will work OK.... I could go higher on the return, but once I get water in the tank I'll have a better idea what I'll need to change. I already have the Mags on hand so might as well use them...
Well, as usual, expect a few setbacks in this hobby. My fuge didn't survive the USPS gauntlet. But, none of the pieces are cracked and all can be put back together with a some Weldon #16.
I don't suppose anyone has some on hand that they could spare?
They are easier seen in the second photo, than in the first.
I ended up ordering 4 tubes of Weld-On 16, even though I won't need that much. This way I can have some for others who may need it, and if I decided later on to venture into making one from scratch.
This one is a pretty simple design and all pieces are basic cuts on the acrylic. I'm usually one that needs to see one in real life before venturing on to either duplicating or improving it. I'd like to be able to cut some teeth in the outflow baffle.
