Will heat kill live rock?

I have a bucket of extra pieces of LR and rubble I use for fragging sitting out on my balcony. I have a powerhead in it for circualtion, but with temperatures getting up to 100+ I was wondering if the heat would kill all the beneficial bacteria in the rock. I hope it will be ok, as its been sitting out there all summer.

If the container is in the sun the temperature of the water can exceed 110 Degrees F and that is called pasterization. You could drink the water if it wasn't so salty! :?

I would keep it inside, but room is very limited. I used to keep it inside, but my roommate got very annoyed seeing buckets laying around inside. He doesn't exactly have the enthusiasm for the hobby that I do to say the least. It's in the shade for the most part and I have blinds hanging to block the sun, but in the afternoon I'm sure it still gets pretty hot. I mainly use it for fragging.

Why are you concerned with bacteria on rock that you will use for attaching frags. This rock should not be relied upon for any type of biological filtration anyway. I can be completely dead and work fine for frag attachment.

Well there are a few larger pieces in there as well. I just use the smaller ones for fragging. I guess I should have mentioned that. It's no big deal, it's probably all dead anyways by now. I was just curious about how heat would effect the bacteria.
