Ok, I lost my male percula clown shortly after moving to our new home. We would love to replace little Nemo, but are scared that Marlon(etta) may might not accept a new mate. What should I do? Is there a size that I should shoot for? Is there any good way to introduce the new clown?

I was going to wait until I get my 120 up and running before making the purchase, but my daughter thinks the larger clown must be really lonely. :?

Buy a really small one. It will turn male in the presence of the female and there should be very minimal fighting!

It's not lonely by the way. Will do just fine on it's own!

Thanks Keith. I know she isn't lonely, but my 7 year old is convinced otherwise. :D

I had another crazy idea..what if I managed to suffer temporary color blindness and buy a small maroon instead of a perc? Think they would get along..at least not fight (much)?

They'll fight like crazy and the maroon will win. Get either a false or tru perc as small as you can find!

I have a 3rd wheel false perc that would fit your bill. It is small and most definitely a male. very hardy and healty. PM if you are interested and we can work out a trade/sell.
