Why it can be nice to do some heavy fragging...

I think at the frag swap a year ago I picked up a frag of a neon lime green candy cane. It had 2 heads on it. Where I mounted it initially, something kille one of the heads, so I moved the single remaining head up into the rockwork...

Some Monti Cap grew around it and curtained it off from my view pretty quickly, and I totally forgot about it. I removed two decent sized monti cap colonies for the swap, and lo and behold, check out what was in the center of one of the colonies I took out:

Also, about 1.5 years ago, someone gave me what they thought was the dead skeleton of a hammer coral... I took it, and wedged it up into my rock work... But, a Monti Cap grew up over it too... I could still see this one at least, so I knew it was back there, but still... Not too bad for a "dead" Hammer, eh?

very nice...serk, what is that to the right of the hammer? is it a leather? our lfs has a ton of it in their reef and my friend thinks it looks ''cheap'' but I think it looks nice

Randy - To the right of the Hammer are two leather's... The upper one is a "Devil's Hand" leather, and the frilly one below it is a "Cabbage Leather"...

Ironically, I'd get rid of the cabbage leather, since it's taking up like 12" x 8" of prime real estate, but I've had it 7 or 8 years, and just can't bare to cut it out...

I do, but I've never pulled off a full tank shot I'm happy with...

I posted one in this thread sorta near the top of the first page:
