Who comes up with Zoanthid names?

I've always wondered who comes up with those weird zoanthid names. Anybody have any idea? Do they come from the person who finds them in the wild? Is it just me or does it seem like some stoner names these..."Dude, those look like EAGLE EYES!" or "Dude, those look like PURPLE PEOPLE EATERS!" And you can't say that a stoner didnt name these ( http://zoaid.com/index.php?module=Gallery2&g2_itemId=4949 ). Chong Bong? Well, they do have a green center...

just whoever submits first
i submitted one

but then you get different people submitting the same zoa, and so they have multiple names...

and nowadays, people are giving wrong zoas names to sell them at higher prices.. like the worthless green button polyps and call them Nuclear Greens... and noobs fall for it and pay $20/polyp....

So then lineage becomes important, where you got your PPEs, did they come from Blane Perun etc.

What do you mean by whoever submits one? Whoever is first to find the particular color? Or whoever decides to name it?

whoever decides to name it

when I started out long time ago, the "Eagle Eyes" were actually called Sunshine... but whoever submitted it to Zoaid.com, "officially" named them Eagle Eyes instead.
