White spots on my tank walls

[I have a large number of very small white specks all over the walls of my tank and sticking to my cleaning magnet.

They are pretty thick, like small flecks of paint of large chunks of crystalized sugar or salt.

What are they? I have a healthy amount of purple coraline growing on anything plastic sitting in the tank, and the white spots are much thicker in consistency to it... I've been scraping them off where I can.]

[Nothing on it jumps out at me as matching....

I don't think it's alive. Almost looks like some sort of mineral deposits.]

[Pretty sure it is one of these. (Marc's Pick)

They are Spirobid worms or something like that. You will get them everywhere you don't scrape. They are tiny tiny usually no bigger than the end of a pinhead :smart:]

[are they about 1/8"?
almost perfectly round?
and sorta collapse when you scrap them with your fingernail?
do you have any Nerite snails?

if yes to all of them id say snail eggs, i have a bunch in my tank i have yet to see any hatch though

i have seen my nerites leave them]

[I have 3 Nerite snails and they have laid dozens of their eggs everywhere(glass, rocks, powerheads, even on other snails). The eggs look like white paint spots, some have a yellow center, but they are all exactly the same size. After about 3 weeks they hatch and a white ring is left where the egg was. Now I have dozens of baby snails. I'm pretty sure they are baby Nerite snails. They are the same shape and have brown and white stripes; the larger baby snails are almost 1/4 inch long now. It's been about 2 1/2 month since I saw the first egg. I didn't think saltwater snails reproduced like freshwater snails, but these do. They hide during the day, but at night they are everywhere. Hopefully when they get bigger maybe someone will want to trade for some corals. anyone?]
