Which stores sell (or even know of) chaeto?

I've been to DNA as well as Aquatic Designs looking for chaeto, and none of the folks I talked to at either store even knew what chaeto was. And yes, I was pronouncing it kay-to. :) I finally had to say "macro algae" for a "refugium", and they'd point me towards their caulerpa stock.

Does anyone know where I could go locally to find chaeto?

Thanks!

Exotic aquatics in Plano has some. I just got some for my new tank from there last week. It is kind of in between the two you have already gone to.

Where are you located? There are many club members that trim theirs from the fuge and offer it for free.

Peter...

Interestingly enough, I saw some in petland lewisville the other day. They had some little balls of chaeto wrapped in plue plastic like the covering on a bag of oranges. This was in with the mandarins they had. Very novel idea for a LFS.

Wish this was posted 2 weeks ago, I gave away (literally) over a pound of Chaeto, which was evne too much for the recipient... Give me another month and I'll have another wad to pass on to others.

I could spare a little if you still need it. And you should update your profile so we know where you are.

Will do that right after I post this. Thanks!

I managed to find some at Exotic Aquatics in Plano as another poster suggested. They were actually all out, but they harvested some from their refugium for me to take.

Thanks!

I usually take my extra to Exotic Aquatics, they are almost always sold out and in need of some. But they do try to keep chaeto in stock. Bill at Neptune's Cove does too. Here lately my extra has all been going to my nephew's fuge for his new 300G.
