Which pump is best for CL.. quiet?

Ordering pump today for the closed loop.
CL consists of 2" drain with 4 - 1' returns

How much flow do I need? 1200 at 3’ or more.

I have narrowed it down to two pumps and am looking for suggestions..

Poseidon?

Decisions so far for my 105 in wall
2 Euro-reef CS80 Protein skimmers (they have their own pumps)
 
I've never used a posieden or even seen one in action.

I'm a huge Iwaki fan. I've used them for years. If fact I have one that has been in virtual continous use for 5 years now with no issues.

Quiet they are not though! The fan on them is quite loud! Unbeatable reliability though.

55MD RLT - this is the one I've had up for 5 years
100MD RLT - running my monster skimmer.

I've had a 30 in the past also.

Since it's not important to have great head performance on the closed loop you may look at others since these aren't cheap! I had a Mag12 work great also. Some people have had leak issues with them though when run externally.

Sequence Darts are great but overpowered for your need.
 
Most people know the Poseidon pump as the Velocity T4. it's a design that's been around a while. They are quiet pumps but add a little more heat to the water than would an Iwaki since they have no fan on them. Good little pumps though.

What size tank is this going on and what are you planning to keep?
