Where oh where has my Sea Hare gone?

Hopefully someone who has had experiences with Sea Hares can help.

On Thursday, I got a Sea Hare to help control my hair algae problem. It is (was?) about 4" long and 2" in diameter. I acclimated it for about an hour, then added it to my tank. It went to the rocks and started eating immediately.

On Friday morning, it was in a cave in my rocks -- a bit too close to my anemone perhaps, but nonetheless seemed to be eating. By Friday evening, it was still in the cave. I thought about moving it, but when I touched it, it "spurted" water at me, so I left it alone, thinking it was OK.

On Saturday morning, it was still in the cave, but was moving around, eating off of the rocks. It was still there on Saturday evening.

However, this morning (Sunday), it is no where to be seen! I've looked around rocks, behind rocks, etc. but can't find it. I can't imagine the few small crabs in my tank could have killed and eaten the entire thing over night. Does anyone have any ideas what may have happened? Do they hide REALLY well?

[I have a sea hare, and it tends to camouflage itself in the rocks. No, I don't think the crabs have eaten it. I have hermits and a reef lobster, but they never bother my hare. I have had times where I've gone looking for it and couldn't find it, but it always turns up. Mine is bigger than yours, though, and rather tame. It's accustomed to me playing with it, so it never shoots anything at me. Maybe if you give it some time, or thoroughly check your rocks...

Check your overflows as well, just in case.

Thanks for the replies. Just as suddenly as it disappeared, it reappeared today. It seems happy, still staying between the rocks, tho. Hopefully it will start mowing down the hair algae soon!
