When will I ever learn... Re-aquascape (Pics)

I just spent 3.5hrs re-aquascaping my tank and it wasn't fun at all. I pulled a large rock out last night and had the bright idea to change things up tonight after work. All I can say is I have lots of frags! SPS aquascaping is got to be the hardest reef hobby task I have ever done! Wow how frustrating and the sad thing the about the whole ordeal is I'm not sure I like the final look. :(

I will post some pic's tomorrow when the tank clears and I de-stress...

I feel your pain. I try to leave my rockwork alone at all costs.

Wise words!!!

Good luck getting it to a state you're happy with again!

Mine's been in place so long, most of the rockwork has cemented itself together with coraline growth, so I'd hafta use a chisel to break the rockwork up...

Oh man. .I aquascape for hourss and days at a time when I set up my tank. Unless I have to make room for another coral I hesitate to move anything in the tank.

BTW...

See Reefkeeping Online Magazine's Top 10 list for October, item #5... 8)

(Oh yeah, and they picked my suggestion for next month's list too! )

Hey Bill, I liked the old way so much better. Can you switch it back real quick? Just kidding. I like the new look. It looks a lot more open in there now. When do you want to come by and do mine?

Looks like there is plenty of room for growth and more room for flow. As I stated in your other post, I wouldn't have wanted to be the guy to have to reaquascape. I'm sure it was frustrating :!:

I agree with Ryan. You moved your corals down, which gives them room to grow upward. You have many large colonies, which explains the difficulty of changing the aqua-scaping. If you had small twigs, it would have been easier.

I smell an idea brewing here

If that ever happens, PM me and I'll help with the transfer :p

He's gonna break your stuff man! Don't trust his 'moving' methods.

Blide,
Call me after Ryan's helped you move, I always need frags
I do however like the new Look of your tank, it doesn't look like everything's competing for space and light.
and yes Ryan, I saw the Pics of your Acros

Seriously, I've been having the same problems. I spent 2 hours one night getting everything in order. I hated it. The next day I was moving something and knocked a pile over, forcing me to redo things. Now I'm content.

I think the new setup is better. It's more open, better flow, etc. Some of your corals needed (still need) fragging anyway. It looks good, man.
