There's always discussions on here talking about varoius things, but we seem to never really talk about everyones favorite corals.
I've always had a special place in my heart for Ricordia's but lately I've been collecting more and more micro and chalices. Anyone else have any favorites?

i tend to be a big fan of millis, i love the longer polyps and how they look really hairy. very cool looking with a wave flow going in a tank. i alos like birdsnest and pocilliporas, for similar reasons. birdsnest has the added benefit of a really cool growth.

I like staghorns and birdsnest. Both grow quickly so it's fun to watch them expand in your reef.

I love the Garf Purple Bonsai, very pretty colors. I also like the Pink birdnest.

When I first started this hobby, I fell in love with GSP. I thought, I just have to have that in my tank, now that I've realized what they do...I'll stick with learning how to keep SPS

Corals, Corals...are you kidding me...anyone that sees my tank knows that i like fish....we dont need no stinkin corals!

Actually i have become a coral person over the years and there is something about the pulsating, waving, finger blowing toadstool in marc's tank that just keeps me oodiling for more.

If i had to rate my favs it would be

LPS - stuff that flows
Rics
SPS - things that show good poly extention and growth. I love the ora green birdsnest that i picked up from Chris T and it has slowly become my favorite over my acans that i have in the tank.

Hmmmm.. I would say acan lords are my favorite. Not only the bright vivid colors but they are also pleasing to the eye on in large polyp versions offer a lot to look at. I am also a big fan of hammers of course... I like the movement they give with the current.

However, I am also a big fan of zoanthids and monti's for the variety they offer of colors.

I love acro's as well as chalices.....

Still my favorites are acans....

Come on now Dave, we all know you like pretty much everything that lives in saltwater. :)

LOL.. just seems that way. I doubt i'll ever buy a toad stool, leather or any GSP. Gimme a nice hammer or even a nice zoanthid over them any day.

As for the common corals,

My favorites are LPS. I like the big waving polyps and the growth.

My favorite is my torch coral. Followed by hammer coral and bubble/grape coral.

Softies: its a toss up btw Zoanthids and Ricordia Yumas
LPS: Acans
SPS: boy there are just too many to list that I like :)
