What's up with my mushroom?

Not quite sure if I'm posting this in the right place or not, but I've got a question/concern about my mushroom. The first pic is the first day I got him, the second is about 4 days later. This is a fairly new setup, 15 days.

Here's what I got so far.
20 gallon high with 2x65 50/50 pc, 25lbs LR, Penguin 125 biowheel filter, and maxijet 400 PH.

When I first got the mushroom I only had 10 lbs of LR. The next day I picked up 15 more pound of LR and had to move him slightly. I also moved my powerhead in a slightly different direction. After that is when I started noticing the weird behavior. It's like it turns itself upside down for a few minutes and then turns back down, but never as good as in pic 1. I also have a frag of zoos and a damsel which seem to be doing great. I don't understand.

Any ideas?

This tank is 15 days old and you have coral and fish in it already? Did the rock you added come from the store, another member or go through a curing process?

Your mushroom could be responding to ammonia. How does your water test out? pH, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate. Those are the important ones for now. Are you using water from a fish store or tap water? Do you mix up your own salt water and what is the salinity or specific gravity?

We'd like to help you any way possible but more information is needed.

Ok, here we go.

The rock came from a very established tank from members. I got water from Franks, all my water levels came up fine, 0 amonia, 0 nitrite/nitrate, and a ph of 8.2. Hope this helps. In fact, I asked if I was doing this too soon and all said I should be fine if my water levels were good.

If you use live rock that is from another tank you should be fine. I transfered everything from my 46 gallon and added the corals after 2 days and everything is doing great. Using good live rock will eliminate a cycle. It will b e so small you wont even notice it.

Ok Alex, here we go.

what?

It should be fine. Good luck with your new tank. Mushrooms are about impossible to kill.

Just keep an eye on him because they have a tendency to "jump" of the rock and get lost so keep an eye on him because he seems to be lifting him self of the rock. Does not mean in anyway that he is going to die, or is un healthy, you just dont want the powerhead to blow him behind the rocks.

... and I love that color on your mushroom. I'll take a frag when it multiplies to cover your tank.
