What lighting should I use?

I have sevaral tanks with the deminsions of 48" L 13"W 13"D and there is only 8 1/2" to the canopy from the waters surface inside of the hood to put a light. Currently they have a duel T8 fixture that came installed on it. What I am wondering is, can I use these and add another fixture in with it to make it work, or do I have to rip it out and start from scratch. I want to be able to keep coral in it as well. Heat is also an issue as they will be in my garage so I will probably have to get a good chiller to run on them.

Any input is appreciated.
Thanks

You could always DIY the LED's as well. are the tanks near each other? do you want them to share the same dimming and schedules? It could be setup so it all runs from a central location. Just a thought, but LED is definitely the way to go with the room you have to work with.

X2. We have them on both of our tanks and have been very happy with the quality, performance, and support."]

Agreed. On your setup this would be a good option for you.

If you decide to go the Build My Led route let me know. I have a BML 48" 12K fixture that's almost unused with the Apex controller cord. I'll make you a deal that will save you some bucks.
