What kind of rock is this, SOMEOME has to know?

What type of rock is this & is it reef safe. If so what curing process is needed?
This looks like rock I have seen at the LFS
I would like to use this as base rock.

Over 40 people have looked at this but nobody knows what kind of rock this is.

I personally would not use it. But I would be willing to bet since it is painted to be like coralline covered rock that yes it is Reef safe. The problem is it looks solid and will always be a base rock will not host beneficial bacteria. Just my opinion I am no expert.

Looks pretty heavy, and the purple paint worries me too. I don't think it would be a good idea to use in a reef tank.

The upper left piece in the first pic looks like a skeleton of a tubipora musica (Pipe organ coral). The paint is a little concerning.. :?

if it were me i would take a high power drill and a bunch of different masonary drill bits and drill a ton of holes in these before adding them to the tank
