What kind of additives?

I was just curious, what kind of additives (for calcium, strontium, magnesium, iodine, etc) does everyone use? Right now, basically the only thing I use is Reef Advantage Calcium w/ magnesium and strontium by Seachem. 2 times a week, half the dose it recommends. Anyway, I haven't been in the hobby that long and I'd like it if those of you who have more experience than me would chime in and let me know which additives you would recommend. Thanks,
Mike

You need a 2 part additive. Equal parts alkalinity and calcium added in that order. You can find several types at the LFS. ESV is a brand I have used a long time with success. Matt is saying you can make your own and cheaper, and he is right. But for a newbie while learning and a small tank with small demands I would go with a commercial two part. Forget everything else someone tells you to put in your tank. Unlikely you really need it if you do regular water changes.

Since I have a huge refugium, I also dose iron at 3/4 the recommended dose. I dose lugols for my inverts and xenia as well. Aside from those two, I dose homemade ca/alk and ESV Mg supplement when necessary.
