What is this?!?!?!

I noticed something strange in my fish tank today. I am trying to get a descent picture of it but it might be a day before I can post it. I'm not that computer savy. Anyway, it looks like a cotton ball wearing a crown. There are 2 in my tank but one is larger than the other one. They are both growing on the under side of the liverock and I would really like to know I'f they are a good thing or a really bad thing. Thank you so much!

Sounds like a scypha sponge. Nothing to worry about.

Check out my ID page for more stuff. I'll be updating that more this summer.

Thanks for the quick response! That's good news. It's very cool how new stuff just starts growing but worrying at the same time! Thanks again.
