What is the best chiller for the money

I need a chiller for my 150 gallon coral reef aquarium. Does anyone know what size I need and what brand is the biggest bag for my buck?
 
I would go with 1/3 hp teco chiller they are located here and if you need to service it they are located locally

the best way to chill your tank is to get some LEDs so its not hot in the first place ;)

on a serious note tho, i would get a teco as well
 
Teco chillers have issues I repair more of them than any other chiller and their repair service is the worse their service techs are high school drop outs! Arctic chillers are the best around I work on and service all brands of chillers all day and engineer chillers to by far they are the best!
 
I have a tradewinds chiller, I have not had any issues with it. I bought it several years ago, and when I looked on RC I could only find good things about them.
 
I've got a Arctica on my tank that was bought new in 2009 and is running well on my tank. AFAIK, it has not needed servicing before I got my hands on it. It also hasn't had to kick-in yet this year after the conversion to LED's.
 
I had LEDs in a canopy on my Nano Cube and needed a chiller, got a 1/10th Hp at DNA. It was a pacific coast imports. Worked great!! Kept my tank right around 77. Now I have a MH and run it open top and dont need a chiller with the fan I got on the light.
 
I run 2 400 watt mh and 8 t5's i keep my house at 75 and no heat issues. I haven't even had to use cooling fans.

Might want to do your research carefully on LEDs and type of corals you want to keep

Great choice led lighting is the best lighting out there great color you can't get with other type of lighting and faster coral growth u can't get with other type of lighting and LEDs have been around 5 years now so most of the issue and spectrums are worked out
 
I have never used a chiller. I have had MH, T5, and LED all at different times and sometimes combined. I guess some people dont use air conditioning?
