What dosing Reefbooster looks like

Marc - have you found good results dosing the ReefBooster ... I am on the fence on it ... with the way skimmers react to it, it can be a bit of a pain ... what are your thoughts on it?

Nice video. I use red sea reef energy which turns the water a neon green color. When I feed my tank with it I do it 1 hour before the lights come on and turn the skimmer on 1 hour after feeding. The dose is 1ml per 25g so it clears up fairly quick.

The pe I get when dosing is amazing. After I am done with the reef energy I may give this stuff a try.

I went to the official Prodibio website, but the details are minimal. It could be lost in translation since the company site is French, but essentially it's microfood. http://www.prodibio.com/growth-development-corals-aquarium-saltwater-reef-booster

It took my skimmer about an hour to get back to normal, and a full gallon was exported. I readjusted it to lower the water level in the skimmer's body overnight.

I've always been leery about this one, but the company's owner has told me every year to use it without fear. A pro vial is rated for 250g, so I've used one vial every 15 days for the past month. I didn't see any downside like algae or cyano, which would be the primary concern not to use it in my tank. I'll keep watching and seeing how it works out.

I have been using Prodibio Reefbooster for about 2 years now with great luck on coloration and PE. I have different feedback on the skimmer however. I turn off skimmer for night after dosing in evening. Then if I run skimmer next day I will wet skim about 45 gallons worth before it settles. If I wait 2 days it skims about 10 gallons of wet skim. Really likes to stay in the water column. This is a good time to then treat the tank with a few drops of PhosRx from Marc and the flocculant will knock out the prodibio and all back to normal so then can put skimmer back on line anytime with little effect while keeping a regular schedule to dose for phosphates. I only use 2 drops for a 225 display and about 100 gallon sump for this treatment and I am able to keep phosphates at 0 according to the lab grade hanna checker.
All that being said i will not be using any of them (reefbooster, bioptim, iodine, etc.) on the 1000 as it is just too much volume. Hoping volume and steady parameters will provide same result as I have had in the past with the prodibio products. They do work well IMO if you can stomach the price..
