What brand test kits do you suggest?

I need to refresh my test kits and wanted to see what the suggested brand was. Do I need to buy Salifert tests for all of the parameters or just calcium? (It's been a while since I've had to buy test kits but I seem to remember the api test kits not working very well for calcium.)

Thanks!

I like how they did these test. But feel that they should have done same of each test and only compared lets say 5 test to that brand not all brands. Would also like to see all water taken at same time and tested same time. To many variables temp change, oil from hands lighting change times between waiting on final color could have been off.

My favorite is the Red Sea test kits. You have a bunch of videos off the redseafish.com site. Also I found that I really liked their titration methods. I got the calcium mag and all set. Then expanded it to the nitrate kit. Good stuff.

I am color blind so I go digital when I can. For everything else I have used red sea. They are easy to read and are suppose to be very accurate.

Elos test kits are what I use for Ca, Alk, and Mg. I use API for Nitrate and Ammonia. A Digital Refractometer for salinity, and the Apex for pH and ORP. Salifert for PO4.
