I been looing at these two pumps and cannot decide, what is the difference between presurre biased and flow biased? I know that the wahoo is about 100 watts more, what does that translate into on my monthly bill. The Reeflo Snapper is $220 and the wahoo is on special for 195 right now.

Pressure biased pumps are for applications where you have a huge amount of head pressure, they can pump water 20'-50' high,

where as the flow biased pumps are for 0-20' of head pressure.

I'd go with the snapper, higher flow rate, and HALF as many watts (less power and $)

There's no reason to buy a pressure pump unless your pumping water up from a sump in the basement... (most people in TX don't have a basement)

The current TOTM in Reefkeeping Magazine is using the Wahoo UNO pump, and it is indeed pumping up from the basement to the display tank.

ALso dedends on what you are using it for. A closed loop with out a large head distance go with flow. I used a larger UNO series pump for my old beckett skimmer.
