wavemaker setting

my 28g nano came with a wavemaker. i was wondering what the best setting was for the wavemaker. it has time starting at ten sec all the way to six mins or should i just leave both pumps on all the time?

i do not have anything in the tank yet. it is just cycling.

well with out anything in tank it dont mater but when it does its really all personal opinion. what kind of power heads do u have ? what kind of wavemaker is it?
 
I like a short pulse! it creates more random wave action. you will have to play with this setting once you have your livestock in place. I run two Tunze pumps, and am on about an 8 second interval, and really like this setting with my current liverock and livestock setup. good luck
