Water okay to use?

I was making RODI water lastnight. I asked my husband to go turn it off. In stead of shutting off the DI, he turned on the fast flush. I didn't happen to notice this until just now. Is this water still okay to use? I use a booster pump (we have very low pressure), which luckily was off, so the water has just been barely trickling into the container. It probably only added about 5 gallons to the 20 that was already in there. I tested the TDS and it says 4...usually it says 0 or 1.

I use mine like that, as long as your DI isn't exhausted, it should catch all/most of anything that gets through the RO...

How does the fast flush come out? I thought it would go through the waste water hose or does it come through the DI cart.?

The flush, if we're talking about what I think we're talking about, removes the flow restriction from the waste line, allowing the full blast to hit the membrane, dislodging any buildup.

The majority of the water during a flush will go out the waste line, but SOME will still come through the RO and proceed to the DI or any post RO filters you have as product water...
