[Ok guys and gals, i need some help. I finally got around to redoing my plumbing and now im in some trouble. From the over flow box is a T valve with ball valves on each side. one controls the flow to my sump and the other to my refugium. Well heres the problem, the refugium is gravity fed in, and pumped out. I couldnt find anyone who could drill the tank so thats my option FOR NOW... I have a MJ1200 for the return pump which is only open 1/4 of the way. My worries are if water intake levels drop that the MJ will pump the fuge to a low level of water, if power fails then the fuge will overflow. What can/should i do, or am i just over reacting??

Thanks
Travis]

[You should probably install an overflow on the refugium to have it drain into the sump. That is the safer option instead of hoping the pump will be okay.

Some guys use large U tubes to keep the water moving from two tanks side by side, maintaining a siphon to make it work. I've never tried this, but it can work.]
