Vortech battery back up issue

I just hooked up my battery back up. The problem is the wires from back up to mp40 don't lug in all the way. All items are new so I'm not understanding what the issue is. I'm afraid if I push the connector all the way in it will break something. It is doing the same thing on both mp40wes connections.

Here is what the connector looks like on both pump brains on far left is this normal

normal, not sure why but mine are the same.

It won't hurt anything the outside metal is nothing but a dc ground.

That is just strange. You would think with as good as a product vortech is that they would make it fit all the way in correctly

Yeah, that's pretty lousy. You should email Ecotech, they are quite responsive.
