In the past I have tried vitamin C dosing and will be starting it up again. I have always used this stuff as many people recommend on other forums.

The only problem is I want to dose liquid so I can use a dosing pump. I am thinking I could dissolve the whole bottle in RODI and dose that.

However, I have read some places that vitamin c degrades quicker in liquid form. Would using the liquid forms from GNC/etc be better?

I was wanting to do the same but like you discovered Vit C doesn't do as well in liquid. I was thinking of picking up a cheap fish flake feeder from DX and using that to dose the powder on a schedule.

I like this one because it lets you choose the amount to dispense in .75cc increments and it looks like it would keep the powder pretty dry:

Only issue I see is it's a tad pricey.

Nice ill look into that. I wish they made a giant one so I could make an automatic saltwater maker :).

When dosing I did notice better color and polyp extension on zoas and even sps. I also want to try to find out why zoas grow so much better in my nano then my 120. Many factors are in play, but I can try vitamin c rather easily. There really is nothing you can hurt with it, unless of course you dump the entire container in :).

Dosed over a 3 month period... found it did nothing a water change and proper levels couldn't do. IMO spending the cash on C is better spent on more frags.

I put 1/2 tsp. of this in the sump twice a day. You can get it a The Vitamin Shoppe. You just need to make sure and get the non acidic version.

Walmart sells the auto feeders that cycle 2 feeds a day, like an analog clock. I think they're around $7. It would probably work well for the powder

Correction, I guess the price went up. I have this one and it runs quite a while on a single AA battery (my last battery change was in May). I'm sure you could get it from China or eBay for much less if you're not in a rush.
