UV turbotwist

I was thinking about getting a turbotwist UV for my 60G tank.
Are UV's worth it? Do they do more hard then good?

What would be the pros and cons of having a UV?

I would look it up on the forum but "UV" is too short or something, didnt find anything.
 
Ultra-Violet sterilizer

pro- kill free floating bad guys
con- kill free floating good guys
pro- kill algae, help prevent algae break out
con- added heat to the tank
con- needs to be clean every 6 months to be most effective

That's all I can think of for now. I have one myself, I have not put it on yet though. I have an aquaclear 40w. It surpose to cut down on the chemical warfare between coral also, mainly sps and sps/softy warfare at least that's what I've read.

It looks like Ozone may be a better alternative to UV in most cases.
