Urgent Question About Sand...

I found a really good deal on Craigslist with a tank, fish, live rock, sand, etc., so I went ahead and bought it (just now). I am planning on using everything BUT the tank and stand (I have another). When I moved the tank, I kept enough water in the bottom to cover the sand. So my question is how can put that sand in my other tank without causing any big problems?

Any help will be greatly appreciated! Especially since every thing is on my floor right now =/

P.S.
This is my first marine tank ever!!!

You can't so don't put it in. Rinse it all except a cup or two. That's all u need.

The top layer about 1/2 inch to 1" is the live layer of sand. If you skim that part off, that is all you can use. Take the rest and rinse thouroughly! I mean real good. Put the super rinsed sand on the bottom and then placed the skimmed sand on top, and you will be good to go.

If the other tank already had fish in it I wouldn't put it in unless I ribbed it and dried it several times first. Otherwise you will get a cycle in the tank. If nothing is in it...go for it and wait till the cycle is complete.
