Upflow Algea Scrubber

Just curious if anybody is thinking about trying upflow algea scrubber?

Seems like a cool new twist on the old waterfall version.

I don't know, but that link goes to a 49 page thread. Seems like you'd have a solid answer if you were willing to wade through all that. ;)
 
That's no fun! I got bored after a few pages [smilie=lol.gif]

Although the design seems cool, a big flaw I see right off the bad is the air stone. Anybody that's used an air stone skimmer knows they don't last long in a reef tank. I guess if you change the air stone monthly it still might work.
