Updating firmware (Apex and Power bars)

Are you guys updating your Apex controller? What about the power bars (PB8 and PB4)? If you go to NeptuneSys.com, click on Support, and then click on Downloads (it's not obvious, btw), you'll download the latest software.

With your Apex WIRED to your PC or MAC, run the software. It will update the Apex first. Then it updates the Webpages. Once done, go the Apex software in your browser (I type Apex in the address bar and it finds it), and navigate to Configuration / Module Setup to update the firmware for each EB you own.

The entire process took me less than 5 minutes.

Update your Apex App for your mobile phone as well. Now you'll have access to all sorts of nifty features you couldn't do before.
 
Maybe I will update mine, to make my iphone app work. I have the old app right now. In general unless it's broke I don't try to update firmware though. Part of that is due to pure lazyness though.
 
I got the firmware updated but when i click on the update webpage icon i get this error.
Unable to connect to the remote server

I thought you could change the profile setting with the new app on the iphone. i can't get that to work, is it because the webpage will not update?

Never mind got the app working right on the iphone, just started to work not sure what the issue was before. cool. Thanks for making this post would probably never updated with out this.
 
I didn't have any issue with the webpage update, it was just like the firmware with a slight wait.

And like you, I probably wouldn't have done it but was told it was easy. Figured I'd give it a try.
 
Steve what operating system you using?

1. You need to have a computer you have full admin rights

2. I had to use a laptop that used xp on it I had issues with 7. I could do firmware but not webpages also.

I have a laptop and desktop, not sure what they run. What does the webpage update do? I seems i can live with out it as everything is working. my neptunes iphone app was not working before this but the old aqua notes program was.
 
Firmware is for hardware like modules. Webpages is for web interface

Go to the unofficial apex guide it has more details on updating both

I did it from my PC running Windows 7, and I was using Chrome. The web interface doesn't work correctly in Firefox for me.
